Architecture at UW
UW Architecture is rooted in Seattle and connected to the resources of a leading public research university. As part of the College of Built Environments, we work across disciplines to explore how design can respond to the social, environmental and technological challenges shaping our world. Students and faculty use the city, region and campus as places to test ideas, make things and imagine new possibilities for the built environment.
Our Vision
We believe architecture can help shape a more just, resilient and beautiful world. Design brings together creativity, technology, culture and ecology, and gives us a way to turn knowledge into action. We educate architects who are responsive to people and place, advance architectural knowledge through research and critical practice, and put that work in service to communities near and far.
Learning through making
After Spotlight, I’d build CTA next. That one should be almost ridiculously easy compared with what we’ve already solved.
